Sebastian Ofner is ready for Kitzbuehel

Entire Kitzbuehel seems to shout „Play up!“ at Austria’s rising star Sebastian Ofner who will challenge Nikoloz Basilashvili in tomorrows match of the day (not before 5:30 p.m.). “I am really excited to play here in Kitzbuehel for the first time”, Ofner says. Germany’s Maximilian Marterer, who qualified for the tournament through a strong performance during the weekend, will start the day against Dusan Lajovic from Serbia. Also the doubles will start today: while Germany’s Andre Begemann and Jan-Lennard Struff will play Berlocq / Kuznetsov, last season’s winner of the legendary Streif downhill, Dominik Paris, will cheer for his fellow countryman Paolo Lorenzi who will try to win his doubles’ first round match with Rogerio Dutra Silva.

Around 3.800 spectators watched Sunday’s qualification and visited the traditional Huber Tennis Weisswurst Breakfast. Amongst them a lot of participants of the Peugeot Amateur Tie Break Shoot Out whos first round took part in Hopfgarten and Going simultaneously.
